I just added foursix new Haldir avatars in the downloads section. Yay me! I just had a random spur of willpower, and I decided to hastily make six to add foursix to the site, just for fun... and in case people actually care to use my stuff.
... and because this site was looking rather empty.

My silly internet has been acting up... everything is going slow, nothing is loading properly, it endlessly freezes my computer... it's completely mental.

I'm looking to add the Craig Parker pages as soon as I can, but I don't really know if it'll be done too soon. If anyone's read my costume page, you'll know that I'm working on my Third Age Elven armour. A.k.a., the armour that Haldir wears at Helm's Deep. And yes, it is harder than I thought it would be!

Not to mention my current lack of Photoshop after the incredibly fast computer that I used to use was given to my sister and I was tossed harshly to this old and crappy one. So, I can't really make any graphics as of now, so no graphic downloads will be available any time soon. Of course, fans are allowed to submit some of their own work and credit will always be given where it is due, but I don't think many people like Craig or Haldir enough to spend time making a graphic with him/them as the subject. Unless I submit some of my old stuff (eyesore, really)... then I'll have something presentable, at the very least.

I'm thinking of changing domains... from "elven-runes.com" to "haldiroflorien.com". Then, this site might actually be easier to find, since I now realise that there is a fairly popular site called "ElvenRunes.com" that has nothing to do with Craig or Haldir. Pity.

10 Jul 2007 - New Layout! Finally!

Thanks to my wonderfully super special Elfe, I have finally a new layout coded and installed!

And thanks to all those viciously competitive Tolkien sites that I can never even come close to, I've changed the entire theme of this site from a Tolkien fan site to a Haldir/Craig Parker fan site. It's nice, simple, not to rush-ish, and there aren't MILLIONS of Craig fan sites. Maybe about... twenty (or less) serious ones? Serious = real and updated info with a nice layout. Anyway, I am totally pleased with it and I don't think I'll be changing the theme anymore!

21 Jun 2007 - ...two months later...

Okay, after a HUGE LONG delay, I finally have this back up. Firstly, I couldn't log on to the site, period. And then I had some SCHMOD-ing issues. And I couldn't write updates. I still can't think of anything, because there ARE no updates; I just switched computers and this stupid piece of rubbish has NO graphics programs that I can use to update the site. Pity me. ARG. And, to Gimli if you are reading this, I'll change your site's URL on my affiliates page ASAP... I can't seem to get onto that page at the moment! So... that's that.

02 Apr 2007 - Eeeeehhhhhh!

Okay so I totally gave up on fixing some of the messy codes that I have all around the site on a few pages. Gah. I changed the Forum's whole scheme back to that silvery one we had before because most people were complaining that it was "too bright". I'll get over it. Gah again.

I found the world's awesomest song on my Riverdance CD, but then that's what I always say when I find a pretty song... *sigh* So yes. I have nothing more to say.

Other than that, no happy updates because I have a huge test tomorrow... EQAO Literacy Test and I don't want to be flunking it because of any determination that I would have to have proper updates :P

SO I am a really bored girl and helping the other bored fantasy kiddies in counting down for PotC III to come out. That's right folks, the third and LAST pirates movie will be out in exactly 71 loooooooooooong days. It's going to be way different though. A Chinese theme... that should be something to anticipate. How odd is that going to be? Going from a Jamaican islandish theme to a random Chinese one with Chow Yun Fat? Well I must admit, that man is quite an amazing actor. My mother is quite giddy over him. Well she used to be. Lately she's taken another fancy to the Beatles; I thought that was a long-gone twenty-years-ago obsession but maybe I was wrong.
Anyway, we get to laugh at sweet little English Elizabeth all clad in Chinese garb. (TAKE OFF THAT DAMNED HAT ELIZABETH; YOU LOOK LIKE A BLOODY FOOL!) Now that should be entertaining. The sword she carries, my mother owns a perfectly identical one. Do all Chinese swords look the same? Probably. Anndd, the lucky people who will be watching the movie with Haldir will be the receiving end of my usual spoiler sprays. Sorry gents, but that's what you get for going to watch a film with a forum regular.

You know what I really hate? Expensive brand-name stores and rich bitches who walk around wearing a plain black shirt that costs $60. Why it's so expensive? Because it has FCUK written across the front! What the hell! I could buy the EXACT same shirt at Winners for $10, WITHOUT the logo written across it! Does that seem fair to people in poor countries who would give everything they own for a decent meal or decent clothing? Of course not... these selfish people would rather spend $100 on a pair of designer jeans than give the extra $80 that they spent on it (normally jeans cost about $20) to people in poverty who need that money to support themselves and their families? People in rich countries take things for granted so much that it bugs me. I mean, why do you NEED a $500 shopping spree on Boxing day? Wouldn't it please you so much more if you gave most of that money to penniless people who work so hard but get nothing? I know I would. Why is it so important for people to have expensive purses? Can't you simply carry a $20 purse that looks just as pretty but without the big logo? Why do people find that they need expensive brand-name suits when the logo is probably just written on the inside of the suit? Isn't it ridiculous? Everyone pays probably five times the amount that they should for a petty logo.

I need to find someone that actually agrees with me for once...
