Yeah seriously.

A whole load of things have been mysteriously disappearing from my site, the layouts have been rewinding to look like how it did last week (that might not make much sense, but I know what I'm talking about), my coding has been randomly chopping itself in half and removing a half, and bits and pieces have been vanishing from it, things have been auto-deleting without my help and half of my CSS has just mysteriously multiplied on its own and messed up the rest of it. If you spot something a little... out of the ordinary or any sort of glitch, please e-mail me to report it as quickly as you see it. Thank you!

Oh, and to add to that, I've replaced the old e-mail form with a new one... it's now PHP and no longer Response-O-Matic, so you won't get this annoyingly huge 'processing' thing when you submit mail to me. :-)

I'm also thinking of starting either a separate site-award site (still a part of HaldirOfLorien.com though) or a separate graphic-challenge site. Opinions on either would be lovely!

It's really untitled.

Not much has been going on around HOL.com, unfortunately, nor have my Craig Parker news-seeking skills improved. We have SOMETHING new, and that's a few awards won. Four, to be exact.


This site has been the happy owner of a great many completely new fanlistings of late (yeah, I get really bored), so if one of them interests you, then please... join! :-P

I've also brushed up on my coding skills (meaning PHP and Java), since I'm actually taking a course on Java at school, so who knows... maybe this site will turn more extravagant later on, when I can learn to make proper programs :-P

I've gone a while without them. School's chaining me up, I swear. The only really new Craig/Haldir-related content are a few new photos to the gallery.

16 Sep 2007 - A new page... finally.

Yep, I've managed to squeeze a new page into my time! Actually it took me about half a minute to make...

New page is: Craig Parker Avatars. I've put in four avatars, all of which are extremely old; I made them all about a year ago. I know they aren't the most excellent things on earth to look at, but I'll have something nicer up later on.

Also two new affiliates:

... none other than the only Gildor Inglorion fanlisting on the web, run by HOL.com... this site! It's completely new, so new members are absolutely welcome.


... really pretty Tolkien site with some LotR graphics and some of the nicest Tolkien poetry. Check it out!


I'm also obsessing over a song... "Two Horizons" by Máire Brennan. I'd upload the song for people to download if anyone's interested... but I doubt anyone is. The ending part of it is BEAUTIFUL though. I'm totally in love with it. I'm considering cutting out the ending part of the song and make a Haldir fan video out of it... it's about 01:11 minute long, so that should be perfect, since there aren't many Haldir clips.

14 Sep 2007 - Fourty One

No new content at all, I haven't been even to consider starting on a personal site for myself. I swear, that will probably have to wait until Christmas to be created. I know, I have been such an awful webmaster.

School work has just been so ridiculously piled upon the students like an avalanche. Not to mention tests in each class at least twice a week. Hectic, I tell you. I've been doing decently in Computer Science (Programming), but as for the things like Science and Math... horrible. Just horrible. Especially Math. We had a diagnostic test today to see if we belonged in University/College (combined) Math, and I definitely don't. The stuff on the test was a mere review of what we did last year, and it was like a foreign language to me! I'm certain I'll fail this diagnostic and be forced back to College Math. And then my mother will murder the counselor and force me right back to where I was. I mean, I really do love school and all, and I do love to learn... but really, the homework over load is just a tad far-fetched!

During drills in Cadets last Tuesday, some horrendous little child decided to speak out and giggle while the sergeant was talking, and when the sergeant bellowed, "WHO SAID THAT?", nobody would admit it, so all of the cadets (including the sergeant himself) were ordered to drop and give 10 full push ups (yelling out a count while we were at it) in retribution to the child's foolishness (and because if nobody admits their wrongdoings, then everyone gets punished). I have a feeling that things aren't going to get much better. I hope I'm wrong. So far I've been a quick learner and an obedient cadet, so I hope that it'll all flow along dandily, for myself at the very least.

Anyway, I know that all of the above have nothing to do with the site, nor is any of it interesting, but I just figured I'd post a fake update just to let you all know that I am still alive, just busy, and not neglecting the site like everyone is so good at doing.

Looks like I skipped a number when counting... whoops! :-P


Well I haven't done much lately... I did make one new Haldir banner to add to the banners section. I'm actually quite fond of it... :-) I was going to use that design for a new layout for this site, but this current one seems practical enough for an informative fan site, so I'll stick to it for a while... I might go around changing the colour scheme every now and then though.


A new affiliate...

... the MOST informative site I've been to of Tolkien's female characters. Very detailed, and that work put into it is just astounding. I highly recommend visiting it!



I've also just converted the site into PHP and it's awesome! Terribly convenient... oh, how I love it. I still have to learn loads more before I start going wild with it though.

08 Sep 2007 - 38th Update... New Stuff

All right, I have added 16 new Haldir avatars to the avatars section. A few of them are newly made, and a few of them are from ages ago.



There are also 7 new Haldir banners in the banners section... please take a look! :-)


I've come across people/my affiliates who use my HTML and CSS and try to hide it... don't! I'm flattered if you like my coding enough to use some of it. It's not like you're copying my entire layout or anything. Just little bits here and there. I honestly don't mind at all! Inspirational credit would be really nice though. I'm just a bit hurt that they feel I'd shame them if they told me or asked my permission. When have I ever shown rudeness to two-facedness to any of my affiliates or guests? Never... so why should I start now? I'm not going to name the people I'm talking about, because it's not my place to humiliate anyone for something so trivial, but please... it's okay to use a bit of my coding. It's the content that I'm possessive about anyway! :-P

07 Sep 2007 - Whoa, longest time I went without an update...

Oh gosh, I may have to punish my self for that. I have literally NOTHING new to announce; I didn't add anything new since the last update, and I blame it completely on school. I never realised how much harder grade 11 was than grade 10... it's mental. Homework was dealt out on the first day, and believe me.... one math sheet takes hours to do. My dreadful courses are:

1- Computer Programming
2- Canadian Law
3- Chemistry
4- Mathematics

Awful, isn't it? They are very interesting courses, I'll admit, but very difficult. Programming is no easy course either, because I didn't take the grade 10 course for it. I'll have loads to catch up on. We're learning Java right now... I should be able to get help from some people.


I've also just registered for the Royal Canadian Army Cadets, so I'll also be REALLY busy keeping up with that too, I think. Ah, and archery practice once or twice a week may hold me back from leisurely time as well.

01 Sep 2007 - Update #36... another batch of new stuff

All right, I've just miraculously uploaded *10* new audio clips for the Haldir's Audio Clips section. 10! So to the Haldir fans who are looking at this, I've even separated some for your own lovely use ;-)

I had a great time ripping them from the film *sardonic eyeroll*. Well I would have had, if my computer didn't keep stopping because it was "running low on virtual memory". Piece of crap... this is the oldest thing I've ever touched, seriously. I can't believe I can even manage to get on the internet.


The wonderful and kind Frodofan has graciously awarded HaldirOfLorien as "Site of the Month" with a gorgeous award at her site, Middle-earth. Thank you SO much Frodofan! <3



Loads more. I still have a few Haldir clips from TTT to grab (the *roar*, the "nan barad!" and possibly some heavy breathing... *wink*)

I am also planning a very lovely 2008 surprise (thank you for the idea, Mrs. Haldir!) for the very dedicated Haldir oglers with organized bedroom shrines, so keep checking for it!

28 Aug 2007 - New Sections and a Random Tag

Okay, so I've done a bit of mad LotR watching, and I've managed to grab a collection of screencaps after a lot of frustrating and hard work, and I've added a load of them to the gallery, so check them out if you're looking for Haldir screencaps! There are also some photos of Craig from the Pillowman, as well as some pictures from photoshoots that I got from his agent's site.

I was also playing around and ripping bits and pieces of my DVDs at random, so I give you the new audio section where you can find all of Haldir's audio... stuff. Right now there are only audio clips from TTT (I even managed to rip out 'The Host of the Eldar' background music.. sweet, eh?), but I'll have some from FotR added maybe later today or tomorrow.
